18 Jun Oklahoma’s Hidden Waterfall
Before visiting Oklahoma, the only landscape I could associate with the state was flat fields of crop cared for by the farmers and cowboys from the musical Oklahoma! In all honestly, I considered it a pretty boring place to be, without any surprises. However, one thing travel has taught me, is there’s never a boring place! There’s always a hidden gem you didn’t expect, whether a place or people. In this case, a waterfall!
When creating a route for a road trip around the U.S., I came across this waterfall in Oklahoma. Honestly, I couldn’t believe it was there! I had to see it for myself. And so, I added Natural Falls State Park to my itinerary.

Where to Find Natural Falls
As I mentioned, Natural Falls State Park is just across the border of Arkansas, in the northeast corner of Oklahoma.
Entrance Fee
To get into the park, it’s $5 per vehicle. However, since my sister and I were camping, the ranger waived our entrance fee and only charged us for camping, which was $14 a night. Keep in mind this is a State Park and so Annual National Park Passes will not apply here.
Camping
Tent camping is $14 a night. The campsite was first come first serve for tents, but you may need reservations for RV’s. RV campsites were $25 a night and the park also has Yurts available to stay in, which are $100 a night, which would be a unique experience!
